THE BRIEF

Full mechanical and electrical design services for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing Mercedes-Benz dealership to incorporate a new Toyota showroom and associated facilities.

THE CHALLENGE

The project required the integration of two automotive brands within a live dealership environment, while maintaining operational continuity throughout.

Manufacturer standards are the other constraint, and they are prescriptive. Each brand sets its own requirements for showroom lighting — illuminance, colour temperature and colour rendering, chosen so vehicle paint reads correctly — along with its own signage, branding and customer-area provisions. Where two brands share a building, both sets have to be satisfied in adjacent spaces without the boundary between them looking like a compromise.

OUR APPROACH

Services included lighting, power, HVAC, ventilation and showroom-specific installations, designed to meet manufacturer requirements and enhance the customer experience.
